Individual Income Tax

Individual tax return organized, with guidance on deductions and pending items.

The annual return requires attention to income, deductible expenses, assets and debts. A mistake sends the return to the tax authority's review queue (malha fina).

We organize the information, compare the simplified and complete models and file the return on time.

What we do

  • Annual Individual Income Tax Return (IRPF)
  • Comparison between the simplified and complete return
  • Capital gains on the sale of real estate and other assets
  • Income from investments and from abroad
  • Return for estates and for permanent departure from the country
  • Amendment and resolution of pending items in the tax review queue (malha fina)
  • Carnê-leão (monthly tax payment on certain income)

Frequently asked questions

Who has to file?

The rule changes every year and depends on income, assets, sale of real estate and other criteria set by the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service (Receita Federal). Check the rules for the current year or talk to SF.

What is the malha fina?

It is the retention of a return for review, when the Federal Revenue Service finds a discrepancy between what was declared and the information received from third parties. It can be fixed with an amendment or a reply to the notice.

Which documents should I gather?

Income statements, receipts for deductible expenses, investment statements, asset documents and the previous year's return.
